With a starting MSRP of $61,545, the Volkswagen ID.Buzz isn't exactly the affordable people-mover buyers are clamoring for. And the market is responding. Dealers are already offering discounts on the retro-themed bus, and you can get a great deal depending on where you live.

A look at Cars.com shows several deeply discounted Buzzes listed for sale. Colorado, a state with big EV incentives for its citizens, has a few Pro S trims marked $11,350 below MSRP, with prices at $48,581. Even steeper discounts are available on a handful of 1st Edition 4Motion models in New York. The trim has an official $71,545 starting price, and dealers are offering $15,250 off the bus, bringing the price down to just over $57,000.

There are other discounts available for the model across the country, but they are far less lucrative, shaving around $500 to $2,500 off the Buzz’s MSRP, depending on the spec. Most of the Buzzes listed online are priced at the MSRP, with only a couple have markups, so even if you can’t get a discount, you likely won’t be overpaying.

VW offers the Buzz in five trims: Pro S, Pro S Plus, Pro S Plus with 4Motion, 1st Edition, and 1st Edition with 4Motion. The Pro S starts at $61,545 (all prices include the $1,550 destination charge). The Pro S Plus starts at $66,040 while adding all-wheel drive increases the price to $69,545. The non-4Motion 1st Edition costs $67,045 to start.

The Buzz, a flagship model for Volkswagen, is now on sale as interest in EVs wanes and uncertainty grows, especially in America. US President Donald Trump has called for ending the $7,500 federal tax credit for new EV purchases while threatening to impose a 25 percent tariff on imported cars.
