Audi is rejiggering its lineup. It launched a new A5 last year, replacing the outgoing A4 and A5. And now have its starting price. The 2025 A5 will cost $48,995, including a $1,295 destination charge. That's $3,600 more expensive than the entry-level A4 it replaces.

The outgoing Audi A4 made 261 horsepower and 273 pound-feet of torque, needing 5.2 seconds to hit 60 miles per hour. The new A5 is a bit more powerful, producing 268 hp and 295 lb-ft—but it's slower to 60, needing 5.4 seconds. The new car comes with 18-inch wheels and all-season run-flat tires as standard. Nineteen-inch wheels are optional.

Audi has a new S5 (pictured above), too, but the automaker hasn’t released its price yet. The outgoing S4, with 349 hp and 369 lb-ft under the hood, started at $56,195. The new one could cost nearly $60,000 if it receives the same price hikes.

The new S5 makes 362 hp and 406 lb-ft of twist, but it’s a heavy car. The four-door weighs 419 pounds more than the old S4, which won’t help its performance stats. It has 19-inch wheels as standard, with 20-inch options available, and a 0.79-inch lower suspension.

We don’t know how much Audi will charge for the other trims. Its consumer website advertises a 2025 Audi A5 Prestige in Horizon Blue Metallic with the 19-inch wheel package that starts at $56,840. Those details should arrive closer to the car’s on-sale date, which Audi says will arrive before second quarter.
